We will support you to take part in society and feel confident getting involved.

- Get involved in your community – We will encourage you to join local and national events and activities, so you can help make positive change for care leavers.
We will also:
- help you register to vote so you can take part in elections
- offer work experience opportunities with local councillors

Become a Somerset Care Leaver Champion
Here’s what some young people have told us about what it means to be a Care Leaver Champion.
“We meet up, discuss issues about the service and find resolutions….and have a good laugh at the same time” (Kieron)
“when we do these little meetings – it makes me feel that I’m helping to make a difference to new or oncoming young people leaving care” (Katie)
