Keeping you and others safe

We will always do our best to support you and help you stay safe. Keeping children and young people safe is everyone’s responsibility.

If you are worried about someone else

If you are worried about a child or young person and think they may be in danger:

  • Phone the police on 999 if it is an emergency
  • Or contact Customer Services on 0300 123 2224

If you are worried about your own safety

If you are worried about your own safety, or if you are in an emergency situation:

  • Phone 999 if you are in immediate danger
  • If it is urgent but not an emergency, you can phone NHS 111
  • You can also contact Customer Services on 0300 123 2224 for advice and support

If you are not sure what to do, it is always okay to ask for help.

  • SARSAS (Rape and sexual assault support):
    • 0808 801 0456 – women and girls

  • Citizens Advice
  • NHS Direct: 111 – NHS non-emergency, for medical help and advice if it’s not life-threatening
  • Mental Health crisis: 111 – NHS non-emergency, or the mental health crisis number you have been given
  • Emergency Duty Team (EDT): 0300 123 2224 – out of hours social care
  • Leaving Care: 0300 123 2224 – out of hours
